I have just completed my webdesign portfolio site. I based it on a comic book layout avoiding the typical standard for most websites with flush straight lines and impeccable precision. I wanted something rough around the edges with a hand drawn feel, simple navigation which I try to achieve on most of my projects and the information spread over a couple of pages only. A three colour approach I always feel is enough and have opted for the orange and blue with borders in black. I like the scroll bars which looks like a tear down a page with a simple orange circle to drag. To display screen shots of projects I have completed, a straight forward alpha fade has been used which loops through the images loaded in from an xml file. The transition from one page to another is a slide effect I saw once which I loved.
