Build an iPhone Application in Flash

This is one of the most exciting developments I have heard since Adobe AIR, the ability to build an iPhone application using ActionScript /MXML!  Imagine now the doors opening for us developers with no experience in the typical language used to build iPhone apps, how we can now port (over time) some of the real cool apps we build in Flash/Flex over to the iPhone.  I can foresee a new export option in Flash Builder, export to iPhone :)

Stefan (muchosmedia.com) opened up this realisation along with Adobe demonstrating a really neat example, which doesn’t just harness ActionScript but also Flash Media Server, providing an online collaboration iPhone app that is ‘Just Letters’!  So now we can build a multitude of applications with real time possibilities i.e. Video, text, chat, etc.

This is early in the game and I am sure it wasn’t a simple process to get Just Letters built, deployed and accepted as an iPhone application, but it was achieved which is the main point and with this achievement comes a wave of excitement and with this accomplishment comes a wave of excitement and expectation amongst us Flex/Flash developers.  Bring it on!!!!
